About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and academically inclined Research Associate to support the development and research endeavours of The Subhas Chandra Bose Chair of International Relations. The role involves intensive literature-based research, special focus on China and neighbourhood studies, critical reading, active publication of research findings, assisting professors in respective research projects, and coordinating conferences, webinars, etc.

Key Responsibilities
- Publish Peer-reviewed journal articles (preferably Scopus-indexed), Op-eds, Issue-briefs, Occasional papers on issues of relevance to the Chair
- Assist the Chair Professor and other senior faculty in research projects, papers, books etc with high-impact research findings.
- Furthering the Chair's mission and objectives through outreach and dissemination.
- Coordinating with multiple stakeholders in arranging conferences, webinars, and other events whenever necessary
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in International Relations, Defence and Strategic Studies, Area Studies, Geopolitics or equivalent
- Focus on Chinese studies and/or Neighbourhood Studies
- Minimum 1-3 years of research experience (dissertation, research projects, publications, or previous RA roles)
- Strong academic reading, synthesis, and writing skills
- Familiarity with India's Foreign Policy, India's strategic thought and culture.
- Ability to work independently while meeting critical deadlines
Desirable Skills
- Experience with academic referencing styles (APA/Chicago, etc.) and software like Zotero is preferred.
- Good organisational and multi-tasking skills
