Job Description
- Lead/mentor a R&D team of fresher/experienced Chemists & Technicians in the field of polymeric/material synthesis-based products.
- Provide technical expertise, direction and support to his/her team.
- Accountable for the technology development from his/her team that meets or exceeds customers requirements.
- Sets clear product development plans and responsible for delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Manage and coordinate multiple projects from concept to commercialization. Lead commercialization of new technologies.
- Create collaborative atmosphere to share and develop ideas within and across the technical department.
- Effectively coach team through regular and timely feedback, development planning and performance management.
- Ensure all lab equipment and materials are properly maintained and/or stored and fully comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all appropriate R&D documentation (including records, technical data and reports) is maintained to meet ISO and other compliance-related organizations requirements.
- Other essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business need.

Technical/Functional Proficiency Required
- Should have good experience in developing polymeric/organic materials and process specifications and Scale-up of Technologies.
- Experience in various spectroscopic techniques related to polymers and organic materials.
- Excellent Application knowledge of polymers, materials and coatings etc
- Ability to think beyond current state/outside of the box and bring in new, innovative ideas to solve problems effectively.
Educational Qualifications
Master's in chemistry/ Polymer Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering
Experience Level (If applicable)
Min. 6-10 years in Polymer or Material Synthesis R&D experience
