We seek a motivated engineer to run transmission experiments over field-deployed space-division multiplexed (SDM) fibers. The role involves digital signal processing (DSP), power profiling, crosstalk analysis, and nonlinearity mitigation to improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct SDM fiber transmission and characterization experiments.

Implement DSP algorithms for signal recovery and performance optimization.

Analyze longitudinal power distribution, crosstalk, and nonlinear effects.

Develop mitigation strategies using DSP and data-driven methods.

Document results and support collaborative research activities.
