Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Research on companies, sectors and jurisdictions
- Involvement with fund build activities: (a) Compilation of management information, (b) Preparation of materials including but not limited to presentations and documents for the funds, (c) Industry and competitor research
- Build financial models including scenario modelling and sensitivity analyses for new private credit investments
- Prepare asset-based models including building projections based on collateral performance, advance rates, and recovery assumptions; ability to assess downside protection and asset coverage
- Evaluation of private credit investment opportunities by building and maintaining robust financial models, conducting sensitivity analyses, and identifying key performance drivers and potential risks
- Contribute to the deal due diligence process, including review of transaction materials, market/industry research, and assessment of sponsor/borrower profiles
- Prepare IC memos and presentations
- Quarterly monitoring and financial analysis
- Perform L1 quality review / peer reviews
Key Skills / Requirements
- 3-5 years prior experience with private assets including private placements, private ABS, income real estate, infra / project finance, structured debt, direct lending
- Good understanding of credit principles, credit review/appraisal, credit rating, report writing, capital structure, ratio analysis
- Ability to work across multiple private market strategies and asset classes (e.g., private credit, structured credit, infrastructure debt), with a willingness to adapt and learn
- Demonstrates interest in private markets and long-term investing, with a self-starter mindset and eagerness to build a career in the field
- Education - MBA (Finance) from reputed institute / CA / CFA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ is an added advantage
- Proficiency in financial, asset-based and cash flow modelling
