About the role:

The Remedial Counselor's primary role is to provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to students and families as appropriate and prepare treatment plans, discharge plans, and follow-up care programs.

What you will be doing:

  • Help students to overcome learning disabilities.
  • Focus on assisting individuals who suffer from conditions that interfere with learning, and those with language and reasoning disabilities.
  • Helps students improve their focus and work habits
  • Work on basic concepts like logical categorization and analytical skills
  • Build skills and strategies which help students manage learning or attention issues and improve schoolwork
  • Improve attention skills and phonetics awareness
  • Help with the students academic skills, social communication, and boost self-confidence
  • Teach time management and organizational skills
  • Provide a safe environment for discussing school and to learn how to self-advocate
  • Act as a link between home and school

Who we are looking for:

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Degree from a recognized University in Psychology/ Social Work/ Counseling
  • Certification in Counseling, remedial therapies / relevant courses / Autism / Special needs / Mental Health / Remedial Education and Psychotherapy will be an added advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 26 Years Of Experience.

  • Focus on repetition to help develop specific skills
