Position Summary
The Release Manager will negotiate, plan and manage release activities including alignment of release software deliverables, artifacts, notifications. The individual will communicate release details and schedules, commitments, and changes to schedule, scope and release content to the business as required and at fixed intervals, including key project efforts directly contributing into release plans. This position will provide internal and external support, including customer deliveries and product roadmap initiatives.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Forward plan release windows and cycles across the Sapiens product portfolio. Negotiate, plan and manage release activities including alignment of release software deliverables, artifacts, notifications.
Communicate release details and schedules, commitments, and changes to schedule, scope and release content to the Business as required and at fixed intervals, including key project efforts directly contributing into release plans.
Facilitate and maintain the release schedule to ensure alignment across key project and client deliverables. Acquire delivery details from all contributing product teams to support creation and maintenance of release schedule and coordination of the delivery of the software release.
Facilitate risk management and issue resolution that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations. Facilitate establishment of setting or re-setting expectations with appropriate team management and upper management. Facilitate and enable product delivery commitments.
Coordinate release content and effort with department management based on product change request backlogs, pending change requests, third party applications, or operating platform updates.
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

JJob Related Experience
A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education in a related discipline.
3-5 years of release management experience
Strong technical background required.
SDLC experience utilizing sprint methodologies.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Atlassian Jira
IInsurance industry experience a plus
