The Service & Release Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth software delivery within regulated environments, managing both on-premise and cloud technologies such as Azure and Pega Cloud. This position requires strong technical proficiency, including experience with automation tools like Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps, Azure Portal, and Pega Deployment Manager, as well as familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for release cycles and integration. The role demands expertise in enterprise-grade project and change management tools such as the Atlassian suite and ServiceNow, along with a solid understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and the Software Development Lifecycle. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, and coordinating deployments for Open and Pega Applications, overseeing on-premise deployments, and ensuring successful execution prior to UK business hours. The specialist must utilize Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation, monitor deployment health, troubleshoot issues in real time, and maintain clear documentation of processes and rollback procedures.
