Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Relationship Manager to join our Financial Institutions (FI) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating, managing, and developing

relationships with bank and non-bank financial institution clients. The role focuses on deposits, loans and trade finance business development, credit risk management, crossing selling of treasury, Debt Capital Market, QFI and Custody products and services, while working closely with Head Office and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with Financial Institution clients.
  • Drive revenue growth through settlement, deposits, lending and trade finance products.
  • Originate and structure credit facilities including bilateral/syndicated loans, and risk participation transactions.
  • Lead deal execution, including term sheet negotiation, documentation, and coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with bank and non-bank investors for loan /trade assets distribution purposes.
  • Support secondary sell-down of loan/trade assets exposures to optimize balance sheet.
  • Conduct credit analysis and prepare credit applications, annual reviews, and limit proposals.
  • Liaise with Head Office and overseas branches to support cross-border transactions and client coverage.
  • Align business and credit strategies with Head Office directives while seeking local market opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to KYC/AML policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Banking or financial institutions, preferably with exposure to FI coverage or corporate banking.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken), with the ability to draft credit papers in both languages and to liaise with Mandarin speaking parties and Head office colleagues.
