After reviewing the benchmark profiles and HDFC Phone Banking / VRM requirement, the actual hiring pattern is not traditional banking relationship managers. The selected candidates are predominantly:

Bancassurance sales professionals
Insurance telesales professionals
Relationship Managers selling insurance/wealth products
PB Sales (Phone Banking Sales)
Retail Banking RMs with cross-sell orientation
Candidates comfortable selling through existing customer databases rather than pure field acquisition

The strongest predictor of success is cross-selling financial products to existing customers through relationship management and telephonic engagement, not hardcore branch operations or credit processing.
