Relationship Manager / Area Manager - B2B Investments (Channel Sales)
Role Type & Location: Full-Time - Pan India
Reporting To: Regional/Zonal Head
Quick Summary
This critical role is centered on driving investments into the company's Peer-to-Peer (P2P)
lending product, positioning it as a high-growth alternate asset class. As an individual
contributor, you will immediately focus on aggressively expanding our B2B channel by
empaneling and managing Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs), IFAs, and other key financial
partners. This role is vital for achieving our investment targets and increasing the market
penetration of our innovative P2P product.
Your Role
In this role, you will be expected to achieve the following key results:
- Acquire & Onboard: Identify, recruit, and successfully empanel a high-potential
network of new financial channel partners (MFDs, IFAs, brokers, sub-brokers) to
distribute the P2P investment product.
- Achieve Investment Targets: Consistently hit aggressive monthly and quarterly
sales/investment targets (e.g., lumpsum and SIP/PTP) from the empanelled channel
network.
- Drive Product Penetration: Increase the adoption and total investment volume of the
P2P product within the distributor base, establishing it as a core offering.
- Be a Brand Ambassador: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with
channel partners, providing product education, training, and sales support to maximize
their success.
- Ensure Compliance: Act as the primary liaison, assisting partners with smooth
onboarding, documentation, and transaction processes while ensuring all activities
adhere to company and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor Market Insights: Develop a deep understanding of the P2P lending regulatory
framework (RBI/NBFC) and monitor competitor activity to effectively position and sell
the product.
Must-Haves
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of proven B2B sales experience in the financial services
industry.
- Domain Expertise: Direct experience within Asset Management Companies
(AMC)/Mutual Funds, Broking/Securities Firms, or other NBFCs, specifically focusing on
the channel partner (MFD/IFA) model.
- Network: An established, active, and current network of financial channel partners
(MFDs/IFAs) in the designated city/territory is mandatory.
- Core Skills: Strong understanding of financial products, investment vehicles (Mutual
Funds, SIPs, equity, bonds, PMS/AIF), coupled with excellent communication,
relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
Bonus: Good-to-Haves:
- Prior, direct knowledge and experience with the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending model.
- An MBA in Finance/Marketing or a related advanced degree is preferred.
- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., NISM).
- Demonstrated behavioral competencies: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and confident in
handling aggressive sales and recruitment targets.
