Role Overview:

Banking Clients | Risk Data & Regulatory Reporting | Certification Framework

Location: Remote (India preferred)

Experience: 3-5 years

The Regulatory Data Certification Analyst supports the execution of asset-level data governance and certification activities across banking regulatory reporting environments.

This role assists in strengthening transparency, completeness, traceability, and control over data used inregulatory and financial reports, including FR Y-14, FR Y-9C, Call Reports, FDIC 370, and HMDA etc.

The position operates within CoComply's structured certification framework:

Identify Define Govern Certify

The analyst will work closely with Lines of Business, Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Data Governance, and Technology stakeholders to support documentation, control validation, evidence tracking, and certification readiness activities.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Asset Identification & Inventory Support

• Assist in establishing and maintaining inventories of critical data assets
• Support materiality classification of Tier 1 4 and asset ownership documentation
• Track asset status within the certification lifecycle

2. Documentation & Control Alignment

• Support documentation of key report metrics, data elements, and transformations
• Assist in linking regulatory requirements to associated policies, controls, and data assets
• Track control ownership and evidence requirements
• Identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies for escalation

3. Control Validation & Monitoring Support

• Use SQL to assist in validating reporting data and control outputs
• Support reconciliation validation between upstream systems and regulatory filings
• Track remediation items and issue resolution status
• Maintain structured evidence repositories

4. Certification Readiness Support

• Compile certification documentation packages for assigned assets
• Validate completeness of lineage, reconciliation, and control documentation
• Track certification status and outstanding deficiencies
• Support preparation of materials for Audit, Risk, and Regulatory review

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
• Foundational SQL skills (joins, aggregations, basic data validation queries)
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
• Ability to operate within structured governance and regulatory environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to banking regulatory reporting (FR Y-14, Y-9C, Call Reports, FDIC 370, Liquidity Reporting)
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, or enterprise data warehouse environments
• Basic understanding of risk and control regulations (e.g., OCC, FFIEC, BCBS 239)
