Turno Brand of Blubble Pvt Ltd) is an Energy Transition company that builds sustainable energy storage systems and enables EV adoption in commercial mobility across India.

Turno is building the next generation of affordable energy storage by repurposing automotive EV battery packs into high-performance second-life BESS solutions.By giving EV batteries a productive second life, Turno unlocks significantly lower-cost storage while maintaining safety, reliability, and scalability for commercial, industrial, and renewable energy applications. Job Title: Sales Manager / Business Development _ Battery Business

Location: Maharastra

Job Summary:

We are seeking a high-ownership Sales Manager/Business Development– Battery Business with strong hands-on experience in battery packs for ESS use cases.

This role goes beyond transactional sales and requires strategic thinking, ecosystem partnerships, GTM ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to scale Turno's battery business across Renewable EPCs, C&I backup, residential backup, and grid-scale BESS.

Responsibilities:

1. Business Development Growth and Sales

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities across:
  • Renewable EPCs
  • C&I backup solutions
  • Residential backup systems
  • Grid-scale & distributed BESS
  • Drive revenue growth and market expansion for battery storage solutions.

2. Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Building

  • Build and manage strong relationships with:
  • Solar EPCs & IPPs
  • C&I customers
  • Channel partners & dealers
  • System integrators and ecosystem partners
  • Structure commercial models, pilots, and scalable partnerships.

3. GTM & Market Strategy

  • Define and execute GTM strategies for battery products.
  • Own pricing discussions, solution positioning, and customer value articulation.
  • Track market trends, competitor movements, and customer insights to guide strategy.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to:
  • Translate market needs into product inputs
  • Support launches and solution customization
  • Improve customer adoption and retention

5. Business Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare business cases, proposals, and leadership presentations.
  • Track pipeline, forecasts, and sales performance metrics.
  • Support AOP / MOP planning for the battery business.

6. Distribution and channel management

  • Identify/manage distribution channels
  • Own joint targets, train & support distribution to onboard new EPCs

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in Business Development / Sales / Strategy roles within:
  • Battery/inverter/Diesel Generator companies
  • Energy storage
  • Solar / Renewable energy
  • Must have operated as a Regional / Account manager or equivalent for:
  • Battery/inverter/Diesel Generator sales to C&I customers
  • Should have led regional efforts in battery sales for C&I customers and to Solar EPC customers
  • Solar EPC-driven deployments
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Battery products & ESS use cases
  • Deep understanding of battery products, distribution networks, and customer segments.
  • Distribution & channel networks
  • Customer segmentation and solution selling
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
