Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and target-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and drive sales performance across the assigned region. The incumbent will be responsible for achieving revenue targets through new business development, expanding business from existing clients, and leading a team of sales professionals. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, strategic planning, customer relationship management, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue and profitability targets
- .Drive new customer acquisition through proactive prospecting, networking, and market penetration initiatives
- .Identify and secure new business opportunities across key industry segments
- .Generate additional revenue from existing customers through account expansion, cross-selling, and upselling of logistics services
- .Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to ensure consistent business growth
- .Lead negotiations, commercial discussions, and contract closures with prospective clients
Customer Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholder
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal teams for effective resolution
- Conduct regular business reviews with major clients to identify growth opportunities
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the regional sales team to achieve individual and team objectives
- Set sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching and guidance
- Drive a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability and results
- Identify training and development needs for team members and support their professional growth
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to management
- Ensure effective utilization of CRM systems and maintain accurate sales records.
- Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Finance teams to ensure seamless customer onboarding and service delivery
Qualification
- MBA in Sales & Marketing from a recognized institution
- Additional certifications in Sales Management, Business Development, or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- 12–15 years of progressive experience in Sales and Business Development, preferably in the Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Freight Forwarding, Express Distribution, or related industry
- Proven experience in managing regional sales operations and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
