Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Expand market share and penetration of construction chemicals (e.g., admixtures, waterproofing, grouts, repair products, sealants).
- Track and analyze regional sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
Business Development:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors, applicators, consultants, architects, and infrastructure companies.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders.
- Monitor competitor activities and develop counter-strategies.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Officers, and Technical Support staff.
- Set clear goals, conduct regular reviews, and ensure team productivity and motivation.
- Provide ongoing training on products, sales techniques, and market intelligence.
Channel Management:
- Develop and manage distributor/dealer networks in Pune & ROM.
- Ensure effective stock availability, pricing control, and timely payment collection.
Project & Specification Sales:
- Work closely with specification teams and consultants to get products approved in large construction and infrastructure projects.
- Track upcoming projects and ensure product adoption at design stage.
Technical Support & Customer Service:
- Collaborate with the technical team for on-site support, product trials, and resolving complaints.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service and quality assurance.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit norms.
Key Requirements:
- Education:
- B.E./B.Tech (Civil/Chemical) + MBA in Marketing (preferred)
Experience:
- 8 12 years in construction chemicals or building materials sales, with 3 5 years in a regional leadership role
Skills:
- Strong understanding of construction processes and chemical products
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to handle multi-channel sales and project-based selling
- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales forecasting
