Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Regional Sales Manager based in Pune. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee and manage sales activities within the assigned zone, build and maintain strong client relationships, lead sales teams, and achieve sales targets. The role involves developing and executing sales strategies, analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and preparing regular sales forecasts and reports. Additionally, the Regional Sales Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure organizational goals are met.

  • Proficiency in Sales Planning, Forecasting, and Business Development
  • Strong skills in Relationship Building, Customer Engagement, and Client Retention
  • Team Leadership and People Management skills
  • Capability to analyze Market Trends and Competitor Strategies

  • Knowledge of FMCG sector practices and trends is an advantage

Role Overview

Park Retail Marketing Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a result-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead expansion across rural and semi-urban markets in Maharashtra, with additional exposure to Telangana and Karnataka.

This is a high-impact, on-ground leadership role focused on building deep distribution at taluka and village level, while also managing select modern trade accounts in key towns.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive primary & secondary sales growth across assigned regions
  • Expand and strengthen distributor, sub-stockist & van sales network
  • Improve numeric distribution at taluka, village & feeder market level
  • Ensure strong beat planning, route productivity & outlet coverage
  • Lead and mentor ASMs, Sales Officers & field sales teams
  • Execute rural-focused trade schemes, activations & visibility programs
  • Manage regional modern trade accounts and ensure business growth
  • Monitor competition, pricing, collections & market dynamics
  • Maintain strong sales MIS, reporting discipline & forecasting accuracy

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 15–20 years of FMCG sales experience, with proven rural market exposure
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • General Trade (GT)
  • Sub-stockist / redistribution models
  • Van sales & rural expansion
  • Deep understanding of rural trade margins & distributor economics
  • Proven track record of distribution expansion and team handling
  • Highly field-oriented, with willingness to travel extensively
  • Experience in entire Maharashtra market is mandatory

 

Education

MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred
