Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and distribution excellence across Andhra Pradesh. The role involves leading a team, managing channel partners, and ensuring strong execution of sales strategies in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution - Develop and implement regional sales plans to achieve volume, value, and market share targets.
  • Drive primary and secondary sales across all channels (General Trade, Modern Trade, and Institutional Sales where applicable).
  • Distribution Management Strengthen and expand the distribution network across Andhra Pradesh.
  • Ensure optimum coverage, availability, and visibility of products across urban and rural markets.
  • Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and drive accountability.
  • Channel & Trade Management - Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Monitor trade schemes, pricing, and competitor activities.
  • Market Development - Identify new business opportunities and drive market penetration initiatives.
  • Ensure effective execution of marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Operational Excellence - Ensure efficient stock management and minimize inventory gaps.
  • Maintain discipline in reporting, forecasting, and sales analytics.

  • Achievement of sales targets (volume & value)
  • Market share growth
  • Distribution expansion and outlet coverage

  • ROI on trade spends and promotions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred
  • 1116 years of experience in sales within the FMCG / food industry
  • Proven track record in handling large geographies and delivering consistent growth
  • Strong understanding of the Andhra Pradesh market is highly desirable
