Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Regional Sales Manager based in Odisha, India. The role involves managing and driving sales growth by overseeing the performance of the regional sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and maintaining relationships with dealers and distributors. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, achieving sales targets, conducting market research, and analyzing regional performance. The Regional Sales Manager will also be tasked with training and motivating the sales team, negotiating with clients, and ensuring excellent customer service standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets
  • Lead, mentor, and manage regional and area sales teams
  • Appoint, manage, and strengthen distributors, dealers, and channel partners
  • Drive market expansion, brand visibility, and new product launches
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
  • Ensure collections, credit control, and outstanding management
  • Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and senior management
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and MIS to management

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 815 years of relevant sales experience in the electrical industry
  • Proven experience in handling OD markets
  • Strong exposure to wires, cables, switches, switchgears, fans, or similar products
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of distribution-driven sales models
  • Ability to drive growth in competitive markets

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Graduate / MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred)
  • Strong network with dealers, distributors, and influencers
  • Result-oriented with strategic thinking ability
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
