About the Role
The
Regional Head Business Loan is a senior leadership role responsible for scaling the Business Loan portfolio across a designated region. The role involves developing and executing strategies to expand product offerings, customer segments, and distribution channels while ensuring cost-effective and technology-enabled delivery. The incumbent will lead cross-functional collaboration with teams such as Product, Sales, Credit, Operations, IT, and BIU to deliver a seamless customer experience and position IDFC FIRST Bank as the preferred banking partner for business clients.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive growth in Assets Under Management (AUM) for Business Loan solutions while meeting revenue, cost, profitability, and portfolio quality targets for the assigned Region.
- Provide strategic direction to State Heads for deeper Channel DSA distribution penetration and geographic expansion (Coverage).
- Collaborate with the Product Head / Product Team Business Loan to co-create deliver best-in-class Lending solutions, leading to customer satisfaction and ensure team(s) are appropriately incentivized.
- Design and implement channel mix strategies, including partnerships with digital marketplaces and key alliances.
- Oversee distribution success through RM training, channel activation, productivity enhancement, and digital adoption turnaround time (TAT) improvements.
- Ensure adoption and implementation of internal compliance and regulatory frameworks across the business.
- Work closely with the Credit and Collection teams to reduce net credit loss and delinquency rates.
- Demonstrate ability to build, lead and motivate high-performing teams.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Design a customer journey that drives satisfaction and positions IDFC FIRST Bank as the primary banking partner.
- Promote digital enablement and automation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve service delivery and business outcomes.
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach senior team members to foster a culture of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity.
- Create an environment that attracts and retains top-tier talent aligned with the bank's growth ambitions.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and performance tracking across the region.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Postgraduation: MBA in Finance (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Business Loan or SME lending, with proven leadership capabilities.
