About the Role
The
Regional Head Business Banking is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving business banking operations across a designated region. This role involves managing teams, achieving financial targets, expanding the business banking portfolio, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role demands strategic thinking, strong leadership, and deep domain expertise in business banking. It also requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Sales, IT, Credit, and BIU to deliver seamless and customer-centric banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional strategies to achieve growth, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Align regional goals with the organization's overall objectives through collaboration with senior leadership.
- Identify market opportunities and trends to expand the business banking portfolio.
- Lead and manage teams including Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, Cluster Heads, and support staff.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Drive acquisition of new business banking clients and deepen relationships through the branch channel.
- Oversee the development of customized financial solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.
- Monitor key performance metrics including profitability, book growth, fee income, and credit quality.
- Collaborate with collections teams to reduce net credit loss and delinquency rates.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management standards.
- Manage credit, operational, and market risks within the region.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to maintain a strong control environment.
- Foster a customer-centric culture and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Address client escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Drive talent acquisition, training, and succession planning to build a high-performing team.
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients, business partners, and stakeholders.
- Promote digital enablement and automation to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
- Mentor and coach senior team members to instill values of customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity.
- Create an environment that supports digital transformation and holistic customer servicing.
- Attract and retain top-tier talent to support the bank's rapid growth.
- Champion the use of data analytics to enhance marketing and customer engagement strategies.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Any discipline (Full-Time)
- Postgraduation: MBA in Finance (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in business banking or related financial services leadership roles.
