Job Description
Role Overview
The Rebar Detailer prepares accurate, code-compliant reinforcing steel shop drawings for U.S., Canadian, and other international construction projects. The detailer collaborates with engineers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure flawless detailing output.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare rebar shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details) according to project requirements.
- Generate bar lists, placement drawings, bending schedules, and accessories list.
- Interpret structural/architectural drawings and coordinate details accurately.
- Apply ACI, CRSI, BS, IS, and project-specific codes.
- Identify constructability issues and raise RFIs when needed.
- Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and QC teams.
- Revise drawings based on feedback or design changes.
- Ensure outputs meet client standards, sheet formats, and internal quality checks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- 18 years experience in rebar detailing.
- Proficiency in detailing software (AutoCAD is mandatory; knowledge of aSa, CADS RC, RebarCAD, Tekla, etc. is a plus).
- Strong understanding of structural drawings and rebar placing requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with zero-error approach.
