Job Title: React Native Lead

Location: Chennai

Experience: 8 12+ years (with strong mobile focus)

Role Summary

The React Native Technical Lead will lead the design, development, and scalability of cross-platform mobile applications. This role involves defining architecture, setting coding standards, mentoring teams, and ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Define end-to-end mobile application architecture using React Native

Lead technical design decisions, frameworks, libraries, and tooling

Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of mobile applications

Establish best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and release management

Collaborate with Product, UX, Backend, and DevOps teams

Guide and mentor React Native developers

Review code, conduct architecture reviews, and resolve complex technical issues

Manage integration with native modules (iOS & Android) when required

Drive adoption of modern mobile engineering patterns

Required Technical Skills Core

Strong expertise in React Native (architecture-level understanding)

Advanced knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript

Experience with Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar state management

Deep understanding of mobile app lifecycle (iOS & Android)

Mobile & Platform

Experience integrating native iOS (Swift/Obj-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) modules

Strong knowledge of mobile performance optimization

Experience with offline storage, push notifications, deep linking

Backend & Integration

REST & GraphQL API integration

Authentication (OAuth, JWT, SSO)

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)

DevOps & Quality

CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, etc.)

Unit testing & automation (Jest, Detox, Appium)

App Store & Play Store deployment processes

Architecture & Design Skills

MVVM / Clean Architecture / Modular Architecture

Reusable component & design system architecture

Micro-frontend or multi-module app strategies

Security best practices for mobile applications

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and mentoring capability

Excellent communication with technical & non-technical stakeholders

Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Ownership mindset and problem-solving attitude

Nice to Have

Experience with Expo

Experience with Flutter or native mobile development

Experience in FinTech, Healthcare, or large-scale consumer apps

Exposure to Accessibility (WCAG) standards
