Job Description
We're looking for aReact Native Developerwith 35 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. You'll work on cross-platform mobile applications for UK-based clients, collaborating closely with designers, backend developers, and project leads to deliver polished, performant apps.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native
- Translate UI/UX designs (Figma) into clean, responsive, and accessible interfaces
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Debug, optimise, and improve application performance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with backend teams (Laravel, Node.js) on API contracts and data flows
- Work within Agile/Scrum workflows with regular sprint planning and standups
Requirements
- 35 yearsof professional experience with React Native
- Strong proficiency inJavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience withExpoor bare React Native CLI projects
- Experience with state management (Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar)
- Familiarity with native build tools (Xcode, Android Studio) and app store deployment processes
- Understanding of mobile app architecture and design patterns
- Experience integrating REST APIs and handling async operations
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Good communication skills and ability to work with international (UK) clients
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions)
- Exposure to push notifications, in-app purchases, or payment gateway integrations
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Detox, or similar)
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
