React Developer with Java

Project Description:

The WMI Core stream provides Core Banking capabilities across WM International locations, and works towards integration and synergies across WMI locations, driving capability-driven and modular platform strategy for Core Banking.

You'll be working in the WMI Core Technology team in one of our locations, as per your eligibility and role requirements. Together as a team, we provide solutions to unique business/market requirements.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring, and modern web technologies such as React.

Mandatory Skills Description:

We need a Senior React Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience

Extensive experience in building Micro Frontends and developing React-based applications from the ground up. Looking for senior candidates who can lead the UI development as individual contributors, and who are confident in taking ownership of the process. You should be capable of designing scalable UI architecture and leading front-end best practices

• Strong React Developer
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with React hooks, functional components, and state management (e.g., Context API, Redux)
• HTML5 and CSS3 (including preprocessors like SASS or LESS)
• RESTful API integration
• Version control with Git
• Responsive and adaptive design (using frameworks like Material-UI, Bootstrap, or styled-components)
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills

AI-Assisted Development:

• Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitLab Copilot, IDE-based copilots)
• Familiarity with using generative AI for code suggestions, unit test creation, debugging, and documentation
• Eagerness to adopt AI tools to improve development efficiency and learning

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• TypeScript with React
• Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
• Familiarity with Next.js or other React-based frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA)
• Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
