Key Responsibilities:
RC Detailing
- Prepare detailed reinforcement drawings for structural elements based on structural design drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with design codes, client specifications, and project requirements.
- Generate bar bending schedules (BBS) for fabrication and site execution.
Checking & Quality Assurance
- Review and verify structural drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability.
- Identify and rectify errors or discrepancies in RC detailing.
- Ensure adherence to relevant standards (IS, ACI, Eurocode, or project-specific codes).
Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and construction teams to resolve design issues.
- Provide technical guidance to junior detailers or team members.
- Support project execution by addressing queries related to RC detailing.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
- Prepare reports on checking and detailing status for project managers.
- Update documentation as per client feedback or design modifications.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Suggest improvements in detailing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project-specific standards.
- Keep updated with new materials, software, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 3–7 years of experience in RC detailing and structural checking in construction projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of structural design codes and construction practices.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
