Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk-based inspection strategies for critical assets.
Ensure optimal asset integrity management, regulatory compliance, and operational safety while optimizing inspection costs and minimizing unplanned downtime in a complex environment.
Co-ordination with Client/ PMC/EPC for daily activities with respect to Field quality & documentation.
Ensure / Perform/ services in line with the End user / PMC/ EPC Quality Assurance System/ISO 17020 requirements, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy
Eligibility
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Civil Engineering
Or equivalent professional qualification recognized by Indian regulatory bodies
Experience
Minimum 5 years in RBI, asset integrity management, or inspection engineering
Minimum 4 years specific experience in refinery operations or petrochemical facilities
Demonstrated expertise with API 580/581 RBI methodologies
Strong knowledge of refinery equipment: distillation columns, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, and piping systems
Experience in large-scale refineries or in Oil and Gas Installation sectors is highly desirable

Major Responsibilities
Risk Assessment & Strategy Development
Conduct RBI assessments for refinery equipment including crude distillation units (CDU), hydrotreating units, catalytic crackers, and associated infrastructure
Identify failure modes, probability of failure (PoF), and consequence of failure (CoF) using API 580/581 methodologies
Develop risk matrices and prioritize equipment based on criticality and operational impact
Create customized inspection plans aligned with CLIENT's asset management framework
Review and update RBI strategies based on operational changes and historical performance data
Technical Analysis & Equipment Integrity
Capable to understand Isometric drawing and perform data collection for TML's in TML template for already identified and marked TML's on isometric drawing.
Capable to enter data i.e., Mechanical as well as process data Equipment's and Piping in RBI template/software. (Equipment here refers to pressure vessels, columns, reactors, heat exchangers, Air fin coolers, storage tanks, safety valves, Mounded bullets, bullets, heaters, boilers etc. Piping here refers to large and small-bore piping, Dead Ends, Injection points, Mixing Points, etc.)
Knowledge on refinery damage mechanisms and capable to identify corrosion loops on PFD and PID level.
Analyse corrosion rates, material degradation, and stress patterns in pressure vessels, piping systems, and rotating equipment
Evaluate remaining useful life (RUL) of critical refinery assets
Assess risks associated with high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive environments typical of refinery operations
Develop Inspection plan based on the risk evaluation in the software
Support fitness-for-service (FFS) evaluations and equipment life extension assessments
Collaborate on root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and incidents

Prepare detailed RBI reports with data-driven risk assessments and recommendations
Create and maintain inspection schedules, maintenance plans, and asset registers
Generate executive summaries for CLIENT management and regulatory bodies
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions
Maintain RBI databases and ensure data accuracy for decision-making
Field Support & Inspection Coordination
Conduct on-site equipment inspections and visual surveys
Support NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities and interpret results
Verify inspection findings and validate risk assessments against actual equipment condition
Recommend inspection intervals and methodologies (UT, RT, PT, ET, visual)
