About the Role
To oversee the functioning of all bank branches in the region with a focus on driving growth and profitability in
the retail business. To oversee the acquisition of new business, deepen existing customer relationships and
maintain operational efficiency, to drive customer service levels and look for areas to improve client satisfaction
within the region.
The role would have responsibility of the following:
. Retail Branch Banking
. Liability Sales
. Third party products
Since they are responsible for heading complete Retail Banking of branches across the Region, the focus remains on GL
Growth, Operations, Compliance, P&L Management, Credit & Loan Administration and Customer Service.
The role will not have any ownership of credit risk or underwriting. The role is also not responsible for driving any
product creation or innovation since this is a distribution channel.
The incumbent is expected to shape the Bank's strategy and have a key voice in organizational decision.
Key Responsibilities
Strategize the annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting & developing annual sales, projecting expected sales
volume & profit for existing / new products, analyzing trends & results,
P&L responsibility: Overseeing the business development of Retail Liability, Asset and Revenue Business
including third party products.
. Achieving Retail Deposits, Savings Account & Current Account MDAB Targets
. Increasing Total Fee ( TPP, RFR, TxB)
. Branch Profitability and cost optimization
Risk, Audit and Compliance:
. Ensure risk compliance through completion of RAR observations, Repeat observations, RMP observations
(Timely as well as satisfactory closure)
. Responsible for Customer Service and Compliance for the entire region
Asset Quality:
. Maintaining Asset Quality for Retail Assets (Disbursement in Rs Cr.) & Bharat Banking Rural Lending
(Disbursement in Rs Cr.) Including Gold & CBG.
. Adherence to ICE framework (Interested, Contactable, Eligible) to improve asset quality
Driving the people agenda: Delivery of proposition including values, talent management, internal mobility,
culture, values, learning and development. Control attrition for AVP and above grades.
Operations and Process Quality: Drive Process Health and continuous improvement. Collaboration: product teams, operations team, and other process owners Brand and External Stakeholders: Represent the Bank with Regulators and contribute to maintaining the brand image of Axis Bank through the branch distribution network Unique areas of impact: Driving the customer distinctiveness agenda through projects such as Sparsh and Achieving targets for Deposit mobilization.
Qualifications
Optimal qualification for success on the job is:
. Graduation / Post-Graduation (MBA-Marketing preferred) from a recognized institute
. 20+ years of experience in the BFSI sector.
