Description

We are seeking freshers/entry-level candidates for the position of Radiology & Imaging Medical Coder. This role involves reviewing and coding imaging reports accurately to ensure compliance with medical coding standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in medical terminology and a passion for healthcare coding.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records and imaging reports to accurately assign appropriate codes.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulations, including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in coding regulations and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance audits and assist in resolving coding discrepancies.
• Assist in training and mentoring new staff in coding practices and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with clinical staff and teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
