Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Researching macro/market trends and identifying themes and sub-sectors of interest for investment mandates
  • Assist with quarterly tax provision calculations in compliance with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes, US GAAP).
  • Support preparation of federal and state income tax returns, including compliance workpapers
  • Conduct U.S. federal, state, and local tax law research to support compliance and advisory needs
  • Assist with quarterly estimated tax calculations and prepayments (Federal and States)
  • Perform state apportionment calculations and ensure supporting documentation accuracy
  • Prepare and assist with local tax returns (business & occupation tax, business license renewals, sales & use tax, etc.) and undertake local tax research.
  • Contribute to ad hoc projects related to corporate tax compliance, reporting, and research
Skills / Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field (CA/CPA is an advantage).
  • Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of U.S. GAAP/IFRS and federal/state tax compliance concepts.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyse numerical data and prepare reconciliations.
  • Research Ability: Capability to interpret and apply U.S. tax laws/regulations in practical scenarios.
  • Tools & Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with team members and clients.
  • Attributes: Proactive, deadline-driven, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
