We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join theâ¯AVEVA E3D Design System test team at Hyderabad. The test team will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of AVEVA Software Product deliveries to customers.â¯
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will own the KEY responsibility of Test Automation and Manual testing:
- This role is for RnD System Test team, where you must understand and adopt the system test processes and activities.
- You will be effectively defining, automating, executing, and debugging test cases to its completeness.
- You will be maintaining lifecycle of the automated test case & test suite.
- You will be maintaining and keeping the test suite well stabilized/robust for batch executions for any test requirements.
- You will be having goal to improve test automation productivity and effectivity to achieve reduction in the test schedule and improving the product quality.
- You will be adding value and enhancing the automation framework to bring effectivity and technological advancements.
- You will be adding value to test automation processes.
- Good knowledge on test case design techniques, test cases writing with quantifying test coverage, test permutations & exploratory test.
- Basic programming skills in C#/C++/.NET/Java/Python and can debug.
- Basic understanding on design patterns and hands on exposure on the various test frameworks like keyword driven, BDD is desirable. for API, UI, and integration testing
- Should have experience in using any Version Control tools like GIT, ClearCase.
- Exposure to CI tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Team-city; Knowledge on DevOps.
- Ability to multitask between multiple concurrent projects & adapt to project changes.
- Clearly & effectively communicate with the product development/Test team to share and clarify issues.
Desired Experience
- Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Mechanical/Civil with industrial software using Desktop/Cloud based application automation testing.
- Professional Experience of 3-6 years using Desktop based automation testing.
- Must have strong programming skills using C#/.NET.
- Should have good experience industry leading automation tools, MS UI (Coded UI), UFT, etc.
- Excellent automation problem solving skills.
- Should have good experience using Visual Studio Code for coding.
- Experience in Agile Methodology of Software Product Development using Scrum.
- Experience in any one of defect management Azure DevOps/Microsoft Team Foundation Server/JIRA etc.
- Experience in analysing complex requirements and ability to develop tests and workflows based on the requirements and test processes.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written in a concise and accurate manner in English as a medium of communication.
- Software Testing Certifications like ISTQB/ISEB
- Should have minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Manual, Automation testing in engineering product domain
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience of Performance testing, load, Interface/integration testing, End to End testing.
- Good Understanding of Engineering domains like Plant3D/Draw domain Automation
- Hands on experience of AVEVA or related products is an added advantage.
Great Skills To Have.
- Good to have experience in API testing using Postman, RESTSHARP, etc
- Good to have experience in using CI/CD DevOps process and tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins, Bamboo.
- Good to have experience in designing and development of automation test framework.
- Experience in Cloud testing will be an added advantage.
- Experience in Industrial/Engineering software automation will be preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Agile principles/SAFe will be an added advantage.

The role of the system test team is to ensure the product quality by designing, executing the End-to-End workflows, Integration workflows, Compatibility and Nonfunctional (Performance, Scalability & Reliability) both automated and manual test across the range of AVEVAâ¯E3D Design & Production Software Products. Each member of the team owns full responsibility for their module and test scope to ensure the product quality. The team proactively identify improvements and enhancements to existing test suites in line with technological advancements. The test team is part of the larger product development team.
