Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Designation/Band : Quantity Surveyor /AM5

Team/Department : Contracts & Tendering

Location : Pune, Maharashtra

Reporting to : Director-Projects.

PURPOSE

To manage all activities associated with the Tendering, Budgeting managing and controlling construction costs and contracts

includes,

1. Assist in establishing clients requirements and undertake feasibility studies to ensure their proposals will work.

2. Prepare and analyze the cost of tender.

3. Analyzing terms and conditions of the contract.

4. Predicting potential risks in the project and taking precautions to mitigate such.

5. Forecasting the costs of different resources needed for the project.

6. Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets and other documentation.

7. Tender management including preparation of bills of quantities, contract conditions and assembly of tender

documents.

8. Contract management and contractual advice.

9. Valuation of construction work.

10. Claims and Dispute management.

11. Life Cycle Cost analysis.

12. Value Engineering.

13. Timely payment to subcontractors, vendors, suppliers etc.

14. Preparing reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.

15. Documenting any changes in design and updating budgets.

16. Traveling from the office to various sites as and when required.

GOALS

The quantity surveyor will be tasked with analyzing existing budgets and making improvements, reviewing plans and preparing quantity estimates, negotiating with various contractors and vendors, as well as building relationships with clients and site managers

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIRED

1. Building and Construction -- Knowledge of tendering, estimation and contracts involved in the construction of

industrial projects including the fit outs in various industrial sectors.

2. Education- Civil Engineer with min. 3-5 years of experience.

3. Administration and Management -- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

4. Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer

satisfaction.
