Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 4+ years of experience in the construction industry to manage project costs and ensure financial efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project scope to determine material and labor requirements.
- Assist in preparing BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for projects.
Tendering & Procurement
- Review and analyze tender documents and contracts.
- Prepare tender submissions and evaluate contractor quotations.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for material sourcing and vendor selection.
Cost Control & Financial Management
- Monitor project costs and ensure work stays within the approved budget.
- Track variations, additional works, and prepare variation claims.
- Review and certify contractor invoices and payment applications.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors regarding project progress and cost implications.
- Conduct site visits to verify quantities and work progress.
Contract Administration
- Manage contracts, claims, and dispute resolution related to project costs.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and contractual terms.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts, and progress reports.
- Maintain proper documentation for project cost records and contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
