About The Role
We're looking to hire a quantitative equity strategist for our Investment Products (Equity Research Unit - Windmill Capital) team that primarily develops & maintains smallcases. Each smallcase can be treated as a basket of exchange traded instruments/index or mutual funds and uses proprietary quantitative algos/models to objectively select & weight stocks/ETFs
What You'll Be Doing
- Building quantitative financial models for stock selection and portfolio asset allocation for both retail and institutional clients
- Generating thematic trade and investment ideas tracking the Indian equity market, world indices, sectors, political happenings, and economic events to generate timely investment ideas and thesis
- Modeling new intricate investment performance and analysis tools for retail investors
What We Look For In You
- Very strong quant, economic and financial background
- Experience with ML/AI applications in financial markets
- Experience with building financial models in excel VBA, R and python
- Basic knowledge of Refinitiv products (Workspace, TRKD)
- Experience with data science applications, data wrangling and data mining techniques
- Strong knowledge of Python
- Experience with NoSQL/SQL databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- More than 2 years of relevant domain experience
- Projects and course works related to the field of financial data science and use of generative AI in quantitative finance would be an added advantage
- CFA/FRM/CQF would be an added advantage
