As a Quant Analytics Senior Associate in JP Morgan Chase within the Business Banking D&A Deposits and Cash Management Controls Automation and Strategy Reporting team , you will play a pivotal part indesigning, building, and scaling advanced automation solutionsthat streamline controls, exception management, and strategic analytics reporting for Deposits and Cash Management. The position is responsible fordriving automation initiativesthat enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and risk management, while also supporting the development and execution of business strategy.

You will work closely with senior leaders totranslate strategic objectives into automated, data-driven solutionsthat support both day-to-day operations and long-term business goals. The role offers high visibility and the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the business through innovative automation and analytics.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end automation solutionsfor controls, exception reporting, and strategic analytics, leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Tableau.
  • Automate data pipelines, exception handling, and reporting processesto reduce manual intervention, improve accuracy, and enable real-time insights.
  • Develop and maintain self-service analytics platformsand dashboards, empowering business users to access and act on insights independently.
  • Collaborate with technology and data engineering teamsto integrate automation solutions into existing systems and ensure scalability and sustainability.
  • Identify and prioritize automation opportunitiesby analyzing current processes, pain points, and strategic objectives.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in automation, data quality, and process optimizationacross the organization.
  • Use advanced analytics, scenario modeling, and forecastingto support strategic planning, business case development, and decision-making.
  • Synthesize data and research to inform and shape strategic roadmaps, identifying new growth opportunities, emerging risks, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Present automation outcomes and strategic recommendationsto senior leadership, influencing business direction and investment decisions.
  • Document all automation workflows, logic, and controlsin repositories such as GitHub, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field and 8+ years of experience in data transformation, automation, and strategic analytics.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automation solutions(e.g., ETL, RPA, automated reporting, exception management) using tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Tableau.
  • Strong understanding ofbusiness strategy, process optimization, and the role of automation in driving efficiency and risk reduction.
  • Ability totranslate strategic objectives into technical automation requirementsand deliver solutions that align with business goals.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and automating data integration from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain automation concepts and strategic insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership inidentifying, prioritizing, and executing automation and strategy initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

  • Experience with cloud-based automation and analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Background in strategy or transformation roles within financial services or consulting.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks.
