Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for you to enhance your career in Payments Analytics, contributing to innovative banking solutions.

As a Quant Analytics Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the Data and Analytics team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. You will work closely with Payments Product Owners to deliver insights in terms of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics. You will strive to build consensus with Product Owners on if, where, when, how, and whom to drive customer engagement by defining metrics, sourcing data, developing queries, and creating reports.

Job responsibilities

  • Story Telling: Deliver persuasive presentations, using date-driven story telling techniques to deliver insights and inform decision makers.
  • Insights: Perform analyses and dive deep into data sets to identify trends, patterns, correlations and actionable insights to guide decision making.
  • Analysis: Employ statistical and analytics techniques to collect, clean and prepare data to measure performance, forecast metrics, perform analyses, and extract and deliver insights.
  • Data Visualization: Develop visually engaging dashboards that present key metrics and trends for business stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with stakeholders, fostering effective communication and joint problem-solving to achieve shared goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize SQL, Python, and related languages to create elegant data solutions while optimizing database performance and scalability.
  • Communication: Foster open communication, actively engage with stakeholders, build strong relationships to ensure alignment, address concerns, and drive successful project outcomes

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree analytics related discipline with 5+ years relevant experience performing hands-on data analysis.
  • Proficient in SQL having the ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance.
  • Proficient in Tableau and Adobe Analytics having the ability create engaging dashboards and visualizations.
  • Hands-on experience creating database tables and automating workflows.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve data-related challenges, applying analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Operations: Support the development and instrumentation of frameworks and processes to create efficient and scalable data solutions addressing complex business problems.
  • Knowledge Sharing: To enhance productivity and learning, document relevant knowledge, ensuring information is captured, organized, and accessible
