Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Quality/Test Engineer to join our digital team. The role involves active participation in agile processes, ensuring high-quality testing and alignment with design specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation frameworks and testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily scrums and promptly address any risks or issues.
- Engage in team grooming sessions to understand features and user stories from the customer's perspective.
- Assign tasks to user stories at the start of each iteration based on lead allocation.
- Complete impact analyses before starting story development, ensuring alignment with the Low-Level Design (LLD).
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead and Product Owner to ensure clear understanding of story acceptance criteria.
- Follow coding standards while implementing automation needs and ensure extensive coverage for L4 tested content.
- Perform ad-hoc and exploratory testing to identify potential issues before Stage deployment.
- Support production releases with high-quality testing as needed.
- Raise Pull Requests (PRs) and work with the automation lead to merge content, then close the associated stories.
- Retest all bugs assigned and ensure that Root Cause, Corrective Actions (RCCA), effort spent, and analysis documents are completed and signed off.
- Ensure bugs are addressed in lower environments and implement tight controls to prevent leaks to external gates.
- Estimate task durations and update remaining and completed hours for detailed burn-down chart information.
- Participate in Sprint Demos, System Demos, and Retrospectives.
- Perform peer reviews for PRs created by other team members.
- Support other teams and team members in resolving technical challenges during implementation.
- Coordinate with both the L4 and L8/E2E testing teams to ensure timely planning and delivery of content.
Requirements:
- 6 years of experience with 3 years in managing test frameworks with multiple delivery teams.
- Exposure to Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) & automation frameworks like Cucumber/SpecFlow is a must.
- Experience in setting up test execution through continuous integration & delivery.
- Good knowledge of OOPS programming concepts and experience in programming languages like Java, .NET, C#.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium.
- UI and/or API level test automation expertise using REST/SOAP/XML.
- Experience in handling enterprise projects with high volume, high throughput web applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding and work experience on cloud technologies using Azure/AWS is a plus.
- Exposure to Test Automation framework Playwright with Typescript language more than a beginner level.
