Duties And Responsibilities
- Execute and continuously improve quality inspection and assurance processes to ensure early detection and prevention of product and process defects.
- Drive process improvement initiatives through structured problem-solving tools such as PFMEA, Quality Circles, Kaizen, and Lean practices.
- Lead root cause analysis using 7 QC tools, 8D methodology, and RCA, and ensure effective CAPA implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, SCM, SQM) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyze line quality KPIs, identify trends, and define corrective and preventive improvement actions.
- Perform trend analysis of internal, supplier, and customer quality issues and ensure timely closure.
- Prepare, review, and maintain quality documents such as Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection Checklists, Test Procedures, and Work Instructions, ensuring correct document usage on the shop floor.
- Review and drive closure of NCRs (before & after delivery) through structured follow-up with CFT using defined quality tools.
- Identify supplier-related quality issues, support supplier visits in coordination with SQM, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Escalate critical or repetitive quality deviations to Quality Head / relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Conduct product and process audits to ensure sustained compliance to defined quality standards.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and APQP activities to ensure First-Time-Right development.
Candidate Profile :
Educational Qualification: -
Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
Experience: -
2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance role within an engineering / manufacturing or similar Industry.
Skills and Knowledge: -
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical exposure to RCA, 8D, 7 QC tools.
- Ability to interpret and analyze quality data to drive decisions and improvements.
- Effective communication and presentation skills for cross-functional and supplier interactions.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (basic exposure to Power BI preferred).
- Working knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plan, QAP, and quality documentation.
- Basic understanding of GD&T and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Basic exposure to APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC concepts.
- Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and internal auditing practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ramp-up manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in LV / MV switchboard assembly, wiring, and testing activities will be added advantage.
- Candidates with strong ownership, quick learning ability, and practical execution mindset are preferred.
