Role Overview
This vice presidentlevel role provides leadership and direction on all quality matters across a platform or domain. The Quality Manager ensures that work packages transition seamlessly from development into live environments, driving the adoption of quality standards and policies, using automation to accelerate delivery, and maintaining customer-centric outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership on quality assurance across the platform or domain
- Produce comprehensive quality strategies and detailed test plans to enable the continual flow of work packages
- Undertake end-to-end test management, including planning, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, lessons learnt, and governance
- Collaborate with quality automation specialists to design, develop, and analyse automated tests
- Execute automated tests triggered by change events to minimise execution time and provide rapid feedback
- Ensure defects are detected, prioritised, and resolved promptly to deliver right-first-time customer outcomes
- Understand customer-centric designs and drive improvements in team output and solution quality
- Promote Agile testing practices such as test-driven development (TDD) and behaviour-driven development (BDD)
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 15 years experience in application testing methodologies across Agile and traditional environments
- Extensive experience with testing automation tools and frameworks, including Selenium WebDriver and Java
- Knowledge of systems development lifecycle and technology function testing delivery
- Experience validating data pipelines, ETL workflows, and transformation logic through automated and manual testing
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to peers, stakeholders, and management
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing test strategies at scale
