Quality Manager (Machine shop/precision Engineering)

We are seeking a Quality Manager for our Machine Shop Division in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate should have 13+ years of experience in automotive component manufacturing, with hands-on knowledge in machining processes, quality control systems, and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day activities of quality and inspection teams in the machine shop.
• Ensure production efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.
• Collaborate with planning and manufacturing teams to prioritize production.
• Monitor and report metrics like throughput, first-pass yield, and rework ratios.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and ensure compliance with drawing and contract requirements.
• Schedule and manage overtime and manpower planning.
• Conduct training, team meetings, and performance reviews.
• Lead initiatives to reduce rejections and implement innovations
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in work areas.
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 50001 (Energy Management) requirements.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong knowledge in SG Iron/Grey CI castings, quality inspection tools, and standards.

• Experience in handling audits, customer complaints, CAPA, and quality documentation.
