Currently, we are looking for a new person to join our team as a Quality Lead CFA.
In this key Quality leadership role, you will lead, empower, and develop the CFA Quality team (including both QA and QC) to manage all daily quality tasks and strategic initiatives. Your mission is to ensure that all industrial products not only meet the company's stringent quality standards but are also marketed in full compliance with applicable EU and national regulations across all markets. You will be responsible for implementing industry-wide quality standards, driving a culture of continuous improvement, and building a high-performing, motivated team of quality professionals.
Responsibilities:
Strategic leadership & team management
- Translate the overarching global quality strategy into actionable, static inspection plans and a comprehensive quality roadmap.
- Own the quality strategy for CFA product lines, ensuring it aligns with business goals and global standards.
- Lead, manage, and develop the CFA QA/QC team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and daily tasks to align with business volume and strategic priorities.
Quality management and standards
- Own, develop, finalize, and regularly update all quality standards, DCLs, control plans, and technical specifications. Ensure full compliance with Pepco specifications, European
- regulations, and other market-specific requirements.
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle quality process.
- Conduct and oversee product risk assessments and production risk assessments. Establish and monitor correction plans to mitigate identified risks.
Supplier partnership and development
- Lead the team in proactively managing supplier performance through continuous evaluation, scoring, and data analysis.
- Drive supplier quality improvement by establishing clear requirements, conducting root cause analysis for defects, and ensuring effective CAP. Facilitate supplier training and workshops to build strong, technically empowered partnerships.
- Empower and oversee the comprehensive onboarding evaluation of new suppliers/factories, assessing their technical capabilities and compliance posture.
Compliance Assurance
- Systematically collect, monitor, and analyze quality data (pass/fail rates, defect trends). Prepare and submit regular reports to management, providing actionable insights for quality improvement and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Ensure all operations comply with internal SOPs, relevant ISO standards, and ethical practices. Manage relationships with third-party inspection providers when necessary, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Clothing Production or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in QA/QC management within clothing & footwear. Experience serving European market buyers or retailers is highly preferred.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of the clothing industry, including fabrics,
- patternmaking and fitting of garments, grading, garment construction and production,
- costing.
- Familiar with international inspection standards (AQL) and European safety/regulatory standards.
- Strong team leadership and cross-departmental coordination skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken) for direct technical communication with international clients and stakeholders.
- Strong sense of responsibility, professional ethics, ability to work under pressure, excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and willingness to travel frequently to supplier sites.
