Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Quality Inspector to join our team in the valve and actuators manufacturing industry. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the company's quality standards and industry regulations. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 2 years of experience in quality control or inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Control:
- Inspect and monitor processes, materials, and finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Identify any deviations from quality standards and report them to senior management.
- Compliance Monitoring:
- Ensure all products comply with industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and implementing the company's quality management system (QMS).
- Supplier Quality Monitoring:
- Monitor and inspect incoming materials from suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Communicate non-conformities to suppliers and record corrective actions.
- Internal Audits:
- Assist in conducting internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards and systems.
- Help track and maintain audit results and corrective actions.
- Customer Feedback and Complaints:
- Assist in responding to customer feedback and complaints, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Support the implementation of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to resolve quality concerns.
- Risk Management and Process Improvement:
- Assist in identifying potential risks in production processes and work with the team to develop solutions.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance product quality.
- Document Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with QMS requirements.
- Support the creation and updating of quality documentation, including inspection reports and non-conformance records.
- Root Cause Analysis:
- Assist in performing root cause analysis for quality issues using various tools and techniques.
- Support the team in identifying corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications And Skills
- Education:
- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers or candidates with 0-2 years of experience in Quality Control or Inspection are encouraged to apply).
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with various teams and suppliers.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of machining processes, coating processes, and metalworking processes such as forgings, castings, and heat treatments is desirable.
- Proficient in using basic quality inspection tools and software (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to assist in identifying problems and implementing solutions.
- Strong analytical skills to support the identification of root causes and corrective actions.
- Work Ethic:
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the quality function.
- Initiative-taking attitude with a passion for improving product quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.
