Job Description

Inline Metrology & Measurement Control

  • Manage inline metrology tools and ensure measurement accuracy, stability, and repeatability.
  • Implement robust calibration schedules, calibration traceability, and tool health monitoring.
  • Drive MSA studies (GR&R, bias, linearity, stability) to validate measurement systems.
  • Improve tool‑to‑tool and tool‑to‑offline correlation using structured data analysis.



Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  • Design, deploy, and maintain SPC charts (X‑bar/R, I‑MR, EWMA, etc.) for critical process parameters.
  • Set appropriate control limits and define rules for escalation and intervention.
  • Lead process health reviews and take ownership of driving SPC‑based continuous improvements.
  • Conduct RCA for SPC excursions and implement preventive actions across operations.



Data Automation, Dashboards & Analytics

  • Build and maintain real‑time dashboards for inline quality and process indicators.
  • Lead DOE automation and integrate experiment results into centralized databases.
  • Utilize correlation and regression analysis to identify trends affecting yield and quality.
  • Collaborate with IT/Automation teams to maintain smooth data flow from factory equipment.



Python Scripting & Data Infrastructure

  • Develop Python scripts to automate data extraction, cleaning, and statistical analysis.
  • Improve experiment tracking systems and build automated quality alerts.
  • Maintain structured, centralized databases for historical datasets, metrology logs, and SPC records.



Customer VOC & Continuous Improvement

  • Translate VOC or cross‑functional feedback into measurable quality improvements.
  • Support quality audits, PFMEA development, and digital quality transformation initiatives.
  • Lead projects to reduce measurement variability, improve process capability, and strengthen inline inspection reliability.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Tech / M.Tech in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Computer Science, or related fields).
  • Certification in Six Sigma / SPC / Quality Engineering is preferred.
  • 1-6 years in inline metrology, SPC, or quality systems in high‑volume manufacturing (Solar Cells, Semiconductors, Automotive, Electronics).
  • Experience with digital quality tools, automated data workflows, and statistical modeling.
  • Background in real‑time factory data systems, sensors, and automated quality platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SPC concepts, control charts, and statistical data interpretation.
  • Hands‑on experience with MSA, calibration, and metrology tool capability analysis.
  • Ability to perform advanced correlation and trend analysis for process decision‑making.
  • Working proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib preferred).
  • Familiarity with data dashboards (Power BI/Tableau), MES systems, and automated data pipelines.
  • Understanding of DOE principles and structured problem‑solving.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem‑solving mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams (Process, Equipment, Automation, IT).
  • High attention to detail and comfort with large datasets.
  • Proactiveness, ownership, and bias toward data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Willingness to travel to the site as per the requirements of the role
