Project Role Description : Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Good to have skills : Automated Testing, Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), TOSCA Testsuite

Summary:

As a Quality Engineer, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will enable full stack solutions through collaborative planning and integration within a multi-disciplinary team. Your typical day will involve performing continuous testing across various aspects of the application lifecycle, including security, API, and regression testing. You will create automation strategies and develop automated scripts while supporting data and environment configurations. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews and monitor defects, contributing to continuous improvement activities that enhance the end-to-end testing process.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Tool/technology stack
• Selenium (required)
• UFT Developer (including GUI)
• ReadyAPI (SOAP/REST, Groovy scripting, TestSuite design etc.)
• Jira Xray (planning, execution and tracking of test cases)
• SAP test automation: Routine in SAP GUI interactions (Dynpro, ALV, tables), handling typical synchronization/timing issues
• Knowledge/experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and OData advantageous
• Test data management: Data-driven, parameterized tests secure handling of production-like data
• Error analysis & stability optimization: Flaky test reduction, retry/wait strategies, robustness against UI changes
• Test automation experience, demonstrable in an SAP context (preferable banking/insurance sector)
• Experience with end-to-end GUI and API automation
• ISTQB CTFL CTAL Test Automation Engineer (is a plus)
  
  

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Selenium.
• Good To Have Skills: Experience with Automated Testing, Micro Focus Unified Functional Testing (UFT), TOSCA Testsuite.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation purposes.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git for managing code changes.
• Service virtualization/mocking (e.g., WireMock, ReadyAPI Virtualization)
• Containerization (Docker) for reproducible test environments
• Basic security/performance knowledge (not primary, but helpful for API checks)
• Basic understanding of ABAP/IDoc/RFC for faster error localization (reading skills only)
• Process & Methods - Agile practices: Scrum/SaFe/Kanban, incremental planning, DoR/DoD
• Artifacts: Maintenance in Jira

• The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Selenium.
• This position is based at our Pune office.
