Quality Engineer- New Product Development

Position Title: Quality Engineer-NPD

Location: Pune

Experience : 6 to 10 + Yrs

Educational Qualifications: BE or Diploma (or higher), in Mechanical / Production engineering.

Mandatory : Good English communication Skill

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

• BE or Diploma (or higher), in Mechanical / Production engineering.

• 6 to 10 years of experience in New Parts Development, with hands on Inspection

witness experience, category knowledge, manufacturing processes know how etc.

• Experience in PPAP and APQP process and Quality function dealing with customers required

• Knowledge of Quality Systems, MSA, SPC, FMEA.

• Experienced in MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).

Knowledge & Competencies

• Should have on experience in New Parts development from Design Reviews to completion of PPAP.

• Should be aware of Change Management Process, implementation of design changes.

• Knowledge of Quality management Systems, Quality tools like APQP, PPAP, FMEA required

• Exposure to manufacturing processes like Fabrication, Assembly, Casting, Machining etc,

• Flexible and willing to work in Matrix organisation structure

Soft Skills

• Capable to work in team and independently too.

• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports.

• Prompt in planning, review & reporting

POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Working in a manufacturing plant coordinating for New Parts development

• Customer PPAP & completion till receipt of PSW

• Attending Design Review meeting.

• Verification of final released drawings for inclusion of inputs given during design review

• Preparation of gauge Plan required for new model

o Gauge Designing

o Follow-up for PO to Purchase & follow-up for actual gauge to supplier

o Gauge verification, gauge coding, updating master list

• Analysis of NG parameters observed on sop layout

• Review of DVPR & Coordinating with IT to facilitate transfer of assemblies to testing through SAP

• Follow-up to concerned depts. For closing the concerns raised by customer during PPAP audit run

• Analysis of problems reported by satellite plants

• Change Management, Preparation of Break point sheet & communication to respective customer

• Control on calibration activities

• Carry out product audits, process audits, in-process inspection in line

• Reporting the activities to Quality Manager/ Quality Head
