As a Site Quality Engineer, you will be the frontline guardian of excellence for our utility-scale solar or wind projects. You will oversee the end-to-end quality management of site construction, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and civil works meet stringent safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspections & Testing: Lead on-site inspections for civil foundations, mechanical assembly (trackers/turbines), and electrical cabling/interconnection.
- Compliance & Documentation: Review and approve Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), and Quality Control (QC) checklists.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify site defects, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Vendor Oversight: Audit sub-contractors and vendors on-site to ensure adherence to the project's Quality Management System (QMS).
- Final Handover: Manage the compilation of the As-Built documentation and Quality Completion dossiers for final commissioning.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 3+ years in site quality or construction management, specifically within the Solar PV or Wind Power sectors.
- Technical Knowledge: * Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
- Knowledge of specific codes (e.g., IEC for electrical, AWS/ASME for welding/mechanical, or local civil/structural codes).
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical schematics.
- Soft Skills: Strong backbone for enforcing standards, keen eye for detail, and excellent reporting skills.
