NARL strives to deliver quality services through expertise in on-site and off-site testing across 13 states through a network of central, satellite laboratory and field QC Inspection locations.
About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Chemist with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) instruments. The candidate will be responsible for performing analytical testing, method development, and ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC and GC for routine and specialized testing
- Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples as per standard methods
- Prepare samples, reagents, and calibration standards
- Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods when required
- Interpret chromatographic data and prepare accurate reports
- Ensure proper documentation in line with GLP (Good Laboratory Practices)
- Conduct instrument calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Maintain laboratory records, logs, and SOPs
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Support audits and assist in implementing quality control procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Applied Chemistry or related field
- 25 years of relevant experience in an analytical laboratory (freshers with strong practical exposure can be considered)
- Hands-on experience with HPLC and GC instrumentation is mandatory
- Strong understanding of chromatographic techniques and principles
- Knowledge of method validation and quality standards
- Ability to interpret analytical data and troubleshoot issues
- Familiarity with GLP, ISO standards, and laboratory safety protocols
- Good documentation and reporting skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
