Job Description

About The Role

To ensure that all garments and textile products manufactured for LC Waikiki India meet the company's global quality standards, technical specifications, safety compliance requirements, and customer expectations before shipment. The QC will act as the brand's quality guardian at factory level, ensuring zero compromise on workmanship, measurement accuracy, fabric integrity, and finishing standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. PP, Inline & Final Inspection

Conduct PP, inline inspections during production to identify defects at an early stage.

Perform final random inspections (FRI) as per AQL standards.

Ensure products comply with LC Waikiki's approved samples and technical packs.

Verify measurement accuracy as per size specification charts.

2. Factory Coordination

Work closely with factory QA teams, production managers, and line supervisors.

Conduct pre-production meetings to align quality expectations.

Monitor corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).

Follow up on root cause analysis for repeated defects.

3. Compliance & Standards

Ensure adherence to LC Waikiki global quality manuals and SOPs.

Verify fabric testing reports, trims approval, and lab dip approvals.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and buyer requirements.

4. Reporting & Documentation

Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence.

Update quality dashboards and share findings with India HO and global teams.

Maintain defect analysis data and support continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Risk Management

Identify potential shipment risks and escalate issues proactively.

Prevent shipment of substandard goods.

Support decision-making regarding shipment approval or rejection.

First pass quality rate

Defect percentage reduction

On-time inspection completion

Shipment approval rate

CAPA closure efficiency

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or related field.

Minimum 58 years of experience in garment quality control (retail/export house preferred).

Strong knowledge of AQL 2.5 / 4.0 standards.

Experience working with international retail brands preferred.
