Job Opportunity: Quality Control Engineer (QC)

Role Definition :

The QC Engineer Supply Chain Management candidate is to provide dedicated quality control support across the procurement lifecycle. This role will work closely with buyers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure that all materials and bought-out components meet defined quality standards. The QC Engineer will proactively identify and resolve quality issues, implement preventive measures at the vendor end, and maintain full traceability through inspection records and documentation. By fostering quality improvements and supporting vendor development, this role contributes directly to the reliability and performance of supplied goods and the overall success of SFC projects.

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality Control within Procurement / Manufacturing / EPC / Wastewater / Infrastructure projects

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
  • PGDM / MBA in Operations & Supply Chain Management is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement preventive quality control measures at vendor locations by identifying recurring issues and ensuring corrective actions to avoid defective material receipt.
  • Ensure availability, verification, and maintenance of inspection and quality documentation for all bought-out goods in coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Develop and implement product quality improvement plans and identify better alternatives in collaboration with vendors and procurement teams.
  • Review site quality complaints related to finished goods (FG), conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate and manage client inspections for finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate third-party inspections, ensuring timely execution and closure of reports.
  • Review vendor drawings, support RFQ processes, and assist in techno-commercial evaluation from a quality perspective.
  • Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and audit requirements.
