QC Chemist cum Production Manager

Responsible forquality control, production execution, and basic statutory compliancein a startup agrochemical formulation unit. The role requires hands-on involvement inQC testing, batch production, documentation, and manpower supervisionwith a focus oncost control and consistent quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control
- Testraw materials, in-process, and finished products
- Perform routine tests:pH, viscosity, suspensibility, wet sieve, emulsion stability, moisture
- Prepare and issueCertificate of Analysis (COA)
- MaintainQC records, retain samples, and lab inventory
- Coordinate withexternal labswhen required
Production & Operations
- Plan and executedaily production batches
- Ensurecorrect formulation, batch size, and charging sequence
- Supervisemixing, blending, filling, and packingoperations
- MaintainBatch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Controlprocess loss, rework, and wastage
Manpower & Safety
- Guide and superviseoperators and helpers
- EnsurePPE usage, safe chemical handling, and housekeeping
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance withInsecticides Act, 1968and local norms
- MaintainSOPs, MSDS, calibration, and basic audit records
- SupportCIB&RC documentation and inspections
Cost & Process Improvement
- Optimizeraw material usage and yields
- Suggestprocess improvementsto reduce manufacturing cost
Qualification
- B.Sc / M.Sc Chemistry / Agricultural Chemistry
Experience
- 14 yearsin agrochemical formulation (EC / SC / WP / WG preferred)
Skills
- Hands-on formulation & QC knowledge
- Ability to workindependently in a startup environment
- Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
