Role Overview
This associate vice presidentlevel role plays a key part in enabling high-quality, automated testing across all delivery models. The Quality Automation Specialist supports feature teams to deliver defect-free customer value through continuous integration, automation-led assurance, and modern quality engineering practices. The role offers strong exposure across platforms, domains, and stakeholders, with significant opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and enable automated testing activities across multiple delivery models
- Support teams in building quality-driven solutions with continuous integration and assurance
- Contribute to the transformation of testing through modern quality processes, tools, and methodologies
- Ensure repeatable, consistent, and scalable quality is embedded across the full idea-to-value lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-domain, platform, domain, and feature teams to embed quality as a core delivery principle
- Support the design of automation test strategies aligned to business and programme objectives
- Develop predictive and intelligent testing approaches using automation and innovative testing solutions
- Work closely with stakeholders and feature teams to ensure automated testing is planned, executed, and monitored throughout delivery
- Design and maintain low-maintenance, stable, and reusable automated test suites for end-to-end testing across systems and domains
- Apply testing and delivery standards in line with product development lifecycles, regulatory, and compliance requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Deep expertise in data validation and reconciliation testing for ETL pipelines
- Strong experience in microservices testing within Agile and CI/CD environments
- Minimum of twelve years of experience in automation testing, preferably within AWS-based ecosystems
- Proven ability to design scalable automation frameworks for data engineering workflows and service-oriented architectures
- Strong experience with AWS services including S3, Glue, and EMR
- Hands-on experience with Airflow and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Runner
- Proficiency in Python or Java for building automation frameworks, with flexibility to adapt to project needs
- Experience using PySpark and SQL for data validation, transformation, and reconciliation testing
- Expertise in microservices testing including API testing using REST or GraphQL
- Experience with tools such as Postman, REST Assured, PyTest, and contract testing frameworks like Pact
- Experience with integration testing, performance testing, and resilience testing for distributed systems
- Familiarity with enterprise tooling frameworks for end-to-end automation testing
- Exposure to Playwright for UI-related validation is desirable
- Hands-on experience with Selenium for UI automation testing
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with a solution-oriented mindset
