Role overview
- Test web and mobile applications for functionality, usability, and performance across different scenarios.
- Collaborate with development and design teams to identify, document, and follow up on bugs and usability issues.
- Contribute to a robust testing process through well-structured manual test cases and basic automation.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, create, and execute manual test cases for new features and regression cycles.
- Create and maintain basic automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Log and track defects using bug-tracking tools and re-test fixes during release cycles.
- Participate in requirement discussions, providing test effort estimates and edge-case scenarios.
- Validate APIs and database changes using Postman / Swagger and basic SQL queries.
- Evaluate the product from an end-user perspective and share feedback to improve UX and overall quality.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong foundation in software testing concepts, SDLC/STLC, and test types (functional, regression, smoke, etc.).
- 0.52 years of experience (excluding internships) in manual testing of web or mobile applications.
- Hands-on exposure to automation tools such as Katalon, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and REST API testing using Postman / Swagger.
- Ability to write clear test cases and defect reports; strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and a user-centric mindset.
